Hello,

Its a small hill spot maintained by Garwal Rifles and there are tourist bungalows maintained by Garwal Vikas
mandal nigam. It is 241 Km from Delhi. Not to mess with traffic at Meerut, you need to start early and after that road is smooth crossing Bijnor, Najibabad and Kotdwar. It's another one hour hill drive which is actually fun. You can have bath in natural river and then move ahead. There is a small Gandhi Market. Bhulla Tal is good place for boating. Tip n Top gives good view of Valley.

Do not expect shopping or resort kind of stay as it is yet not commercialized. but if you want peace, harmony with nature for weekend, It's very much recommended place.

Shilonbagh Resort

This beautiful resort is situated between Kufri and Chail. This is approximately 7 km after Kufri and around 25km from Shimla. It offers independent big size 50 rooms and the peaceful place.
I visited this place in May 2010 on recommendation of some of my friends.

Weather was hot in day but was cool at night. Unfortunately because of poor ventilation the rooms were hot at night than outside.
POOR SERVICES & Facilities at resort spoilt our trip to this beautiful resort. the kids play area, recreational house is in dire need of overhauling.

The Buffet system is horrible and do not opt for this type of eating there. do not for package system.
The rates are comparable to Chail palace. If you are getting stay at Chail Palace or Tarika resort then opt for these places. they are only slightly costly but worth it.
